"Chaos is order yet undeciphered." - Enemy (2013)

Enemy, adapted from a novel by the Nobel prize winner Jose Saramago, is always gripping and totally fascinating. Director Denis Villeneuve gave us a masterpiece. Something about this film works wonderfully as this film requires serious contemplating after watching. This is not a typical movie and doesn't follow a linear timeline. The music is an inseparable part of the film. There's no denying that this is some of the best work Gyllenhaal has done in his career to date. It doesn't plunge into sci-fi territory nor does it dip into any melodrama. It has one of the most confusing plots and may require watching it twice or thrice before getting the real depth of the movie.

My final verdict: Very few films have such confused plot which in fact after rewatching will reveal a darker reality. This is a masterpiece and a must-watch film.

My overall score: 8.9⭐/10
