"Sometimes to love someone, you got to be a stranger." -Blade Runner 2049
Set after 30 years, Blade Runner 2049 is a sci-fi mystery drama and a cinematic epic. The cinematography of Roger Deakins deserves to be praised and appreciated. The visuals are stunning. The slow-paced storyline actually worked out pretty great. The music is good too. Ryan Gosling (K/Joe) and Ana de Armas (Joi) gave an excellent performance.
However, due to its quite a long runtime (2h 44m) and slow-pace, few might say it's boring. But let me clarify it, you're terribly mistaken. It's a SLOW-PACED MYSTERY! What more are you expecting?
Bonus: Do watch Blade Runner (1982) as there are many links with the former.
My final verdict: Delve into the world of Blade Runner with its stunning visuals and slow-paced mystery. A must watch!
My overall score: 9.0⭐/10
